  • Read the Frontiers Special Issue: U.S. Study Abroad the View From Europe

    We are thrilled to announce that Frontiers: The Interdisciplinary Journal of Study Abroad has just published our Special Issue entitled U.S. Study Abroad: The View from Europe.  Co-Guest Edited by Stephen Robinson (Ireland), Kelly Bohan (France), Julia Carnine (France), and Ariadne Ferro (Spain), the issue contains 10 papers plus an editorial on topics relating to US study abroad in Europe, from our European on-site perspectives.  Twenty seven authors from 7 countries worked very hard on this for over a year.  A great publication from the EUASA team!

  • EUASA Community Chat: Legal & Political Update

    EUASA legal counsel Gian Franco Borio will be giving us a legal and political update of the state of U.S. study abroad as he returns from the Forum in Toronto and with EU updates on the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) and the Entry/Exit Systems (EES) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • European Institute 2025 (The Forum on Education Abroad & EUASA)

    November 13-14, 2025 in Bologna, Italy
    The Forum on Education Abroad’s 2025 European Institute is brought to the field in collaboration with the European Association of Study Abroad (EUASA). Hosted by Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) Europe, the Institute will be an opportunity to connect with colleagues from around Europe and address key issues facing on-site study abroad professionals and faculty.

European Institute 2023

The 2023 European Institute is a collaboration between The Forum on Education Abroad and the European Association of Study Abroad. It will be an opportunity to connect with colleagues from around Europe and address key issues facing on-site study abroad professionals and faculty. This event is for anyone in international education interested in enhancing the onsite experiences of learners and fostering collaboration among colleagues across Europe.  

The Institute will include workshops from a European perspective focused on equity, diversity and inclusion, supporting students’ mental health, and sustainability. A facilitated open forum will close the institute which will engage participants in producing a curated deliverable to share with the education abroad community.

EUASA Virtual European Study Abroad Conference 2025

This conference was held virtually on March 7, 2025, 14:00-17:30 CET.
